I can go on and on with a critic on this picture but to sum it up your females look like men with breasts.

You have no right to speak to anybody about the way they draw. Women are drawn differently by every person, and the fact that you had to point it out only shows that you have nothing better to do than bother someone with a petty comment. Also, :devQuete-del-aube: enjoyed how she drew her character and that is all that matters. That is the way her character is drawn. You don't like it? Don't look at it and let every one else have a nice day.

To say it nicely you must not know what constructive criticism is. I stumbled across this picture when I was looking for something and thought I could help another artist improve. No one is perfect and everyone is in constant improvement with everything they do. If the artist just wanted people to swoon over their art then they shouldn't be putting it on an art site because other artists are and WILL come around and give their own piece of criticism; good or bad. It's nice that the commissioner enjoyed the art. I was merely giving my own opinion which everyone is entitled to when it comes to art.

There's constructive criticism and then there's looking for attention. You are not a better artist than she is. You may say you know you're not or you may say the exact opposite, but to say that her old art was so much better was sort of an insult. She changed and improved in her own way. I understand you were expressing your opinion but saying "To say it nicely" does not constitute it the action of practically insulting someones work.

If I was looking for attention I wouldn't be speaking calmly. I'd be yelling, cursing and overly using the caps lock button. I know I'm not a better artist, hell I'm the furthest thing from even a good artist. I was just stating my opinion to her because she's lacking a certain element that her old art use to have. I'm not trying to insult her, and I understand her wanting to improve, but to fully improve into a beautiful art style an artist must take criticism from everyone. Regardless if it may sound a bit harsh.
Also to speak solely to you, I understand you wanting to help her, but if I'm not mistaken I was talking to her. Why does she need the peanut gallery to defend her? Or can she just not fight her own battles without someone helping?

You're not one to tell her what a beautiful art style is. A beautiful art style is made by the artist, not the viewers.
No she can fight very well on her own. I'm not fighting for her. I'm insulted that you would "criticize" someone who did not ask for your input. That is what critiques are for.

Yeah, for some reason I wanted my character to be able to wield two huge swords without any muscles, and that naughty Arofexdracona gave her believable musculature, damn.
